Testimonials from people who have worked with Coach Reslow…

  • Nancy Somera (Former Johnson & Wales University Head Women's Volleyball Coach (Current Head Coach at Fairfield) and AVCA National Coach of the Year in 2017)

Scott is thorough and dedicated in all his endeavors. Whether coaching, commentating or reffing, he brings a high level of integrity and an unparalleled commitment to doing the best job possible. Easy to communicate with, Scott has the knack for providing honest and insightful suggestions with a down-to-earth delivery sprinkled with just enough humor to make you feel like you're having a conversation with an old friend. Perhaps it's because he is such a good listener---a quality every good consultant possesses---that he is such a pleasure to work with.

A consummate student of the game of volleyball, Scott is passionate in his pursuit of knowledge and in his desire to share with others what he has learned over the years. His underlying motivation is quite simple: He loves the sport and wants to see it grow along with those he works with.

  • Evin Giglio (Head Men's Volleyball Coach at Wentworth Institute of Technology - Current #3 Men's Volleyball team in the Country in 2024!)

I've experienced many years of competing against Coach Reslow in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference. His Johnson & Wales University teams were always disciplined, competitive and well-trained. I believe he does a great job of maximizing talent and teaching systems.

Scott and I became friends while being competitors. We’ve spent countless hours discussing volleyball…everything from optimal lineup construction to evaluating prospects. I know he understands what it means to build a program with great culture and success.

  • Ridge Porter (Head Boys Volleyball Coach for East Greenwich High School / Co-Director of South County Boys Club Volleyball)

I am privileged to provide a testimonial for Scott Reslow, a remarkable mentor and friend. Having served as the former Johnson & Wales Men's Volleyball Head Coach and where I met him as a Director of the Boys Volleyball Program at South County, Scott has been an invaluable guide in my coaching journey.

Scott's expertise in high-level tactics has been instrumental in shaping my coaching career and contributing to the success of my teams. His commitment to the game along with honesty and straightforwardness is truly refreshing. Scott doesn't merely tell you what you want to hear; he imparts wisdom and guidance with a genuine dedication to what he believes is the right way.

Scott Reslow is an underutilized resource in the coaching community, possessing a wealth of knowledge and experience that extends beyond the norm. His mentorship has not only elevated my coaching skills but has also forged a meaningful friendship. I am genuinely grateful for the guidance and support Scott has provided, and I wholeheartedly endorse him as a mentor and friend.

  • Ed Delsignore (Former Assistant Women's Volleyball Coach at Providence College)

I have known Coach Scott Reslow personally and professionally for almost 20 years. I first met Scott when I began playing volleyball as a high-schooler, as he was one of my first instructors. From there, he became a teammate, a coworker, and, during that time, a close personal friend. Scott has taught me a massive amount about the sport of volleyball – not only the X’s and O’s, drills, and other knowledge that contribute to the betterment of coaching a team, but also taught me how to build a successful team culture, foster a winning environment, and create a team that competes for championships. As an Assistant Coach at a Division I Women’s Program competing in the Big East Conference, I often picked Scott’s brain for information that would improve my abilities as a coach and improve my team’s performance at the same time. I always trust him to provide me with his honest assessment which is crucial for improvement as a coach.

I cannot say enough about Scott’s knowledge of volleyball strategy not only from a wholistic team perspective, but also his knowledge of the demands of each individual position on the court. I have personally implemented many of the offensive and defensive philosophies that Scott taught to me over the course of our relationship to great successes. When I struggle with clashes of volleyball strategy, Scott is routinely one of my first calls. Regardless of his personal workload, Scott has always made me feel welcome to brainstorm with him and has made our discussions feel like a total collaboration, even though Scott is contributing many of the material points. My respect for his knowledge of the game is immense, and is exceeded only by my respect of Scott as a peer, coworker, and ambassador of the sport. There’s no doubt in my mind that any player who chooses to work with Scott will see noticeable improvements in a very short period of time.

Overall, I consider Scott Reslow a friend and mentor. I have entrusted much of my own personal development as a player and coach to Scott, and have routinely benefited from doing so. I would implore any player, team, or coach that has a serious commitment to improvement to retain Scott to help them in that journey.

  • Garrett Bucklin (All-American and Professional Volleyball Player)

Scott Reslow is a man that has been intertwined with my volleyball career since before I knew I would have a career in volleyball. As a former All-American, professional indoor player, and now professional beach player, I first met Scott in high school when he looked to recruit me to play for him at Johnson & Wales. I was already committed to play at Rivier University, but here is where I developed a competition, friendship, and ultimately a partnership with Coach Reslow.

Seeing him in action as a coach and competing against his team each year, it was an easy decision to join his coaching staff at Johnson & Wales after I graduated. I only had a short stint of coaching with him unfortunately due to the program getting dissolved that very year. However, during that single year I was grateful to be a part of a high point in his career with a win over ranked UC Santa Cruz, as well as the obvious lows that came at the end of their season.

Scott is someone that never wavered, and always saw the best in his players. His career saw 200+ collegiate wins, in a conference that was routinely one of the tops in the country. It is easy to continue listing off stats and records from his seemingly endless career accomplishments, but maybe the most important thing to note is that Scott always looks to find what’s best for you. As a coach and as a friend, he is always someone you can count on.

  • Steve England (Head Men's Volleyball Coach for Hobart College)

I would recommend Scott Reslow and ResV Systems to any student-athlete or coach looking to improve their volleyball knowledge. Scott and I became close friends through our shared time coaching at the college level. Competing against his teams were always a challenge. His teams had a high volleyball IQ and were fundamentally sound. These are signs of a well-coached team. I have the utmost respect for Scott as a coach and most importantly a person. What makes Scott a great coach is, his genuine concern for the well being of others. He cares about making the people around him better.

  • Dan Struebing (Former player for Coach Reslow at Johnson & Wales University. All Conference Selection)

Scott Reslow was one of the best coaches I had. He didn't just help me become a better volleyball player but also better person. He was essential to my growth in both sports and my personal life.

I came down with a career ending injury my senior year and Scott allowed me to step into more of a coaching role with the team. I was able to better understand the coaching side of the house and, with his guidance, after I graduated I was able to step into an assistant coaching position and a club coaching job.

From broadcasting sports games with him to just sitting in his office discussing life, it all helped immensely. I cannot say enough about how much Scott helped me during my college career and beyond.

  • Pete Weremay (Collegiate Official and RI Beach and Indoor Volleyball Legend)

Over the past 15 years, Scott has been a great friend, a great teammate, and someone with whom I’ve spent countless hours discussing the ‘ins and outs’ of volleyball. When we first met, he had just finished up a basketball career and was brand new to volleyball… since that time, he saturated himself in the volleyball world as both a player and a coach. Scott’s passion and knowledge of the sport is elite regionally, and I’m so excited to see him utilize that in this new venture!!

  • Alan Segee (Head Athletic Trainer at Johnson & Wales University)

I worked with Scott Reslow as his athletic trainer through his many years of coaching at Johnson & Wales. I was on the search committee that decided bring him on board. We hired him not long after he had guided a local high school team to the state semi-finals. I was present at that semi-final game, working as the on-site athletic trainer, and he took this under-sized team all the way to the semi-finals through his coaching.

He enjoyed a long run here at Johnson & Wales. As his athletic trainer, I found him very easy to work with. He was a great communicator, and cared about the success and growth of his players.

He also was very successful as our ‘on air’ broadcaster for women’s volleyball. His knowledge of the game added a level of professionalism to the successful run of our women’s team.
