South County 18-1s Finish 6th in Open Division…

The South County Boys Volleyball Club 18-1’s finished sixth in the this past weekend’s NIKE Boston Vb Festival capping a successful Juniors club season. South County lost in the Silver Bracket finals to a solid Syracuse Volleyball club team in two sets, giving SC their 6th place landing. 15 teams were in the open division while 40 teams were represented in total for all divisions at the 18 year old age group. This marks the second year in a row that SC finished just on the outside looking in of the Gold Bracket in the open division.
The 18-1s for South County, coached by Scott Reslow and assisted by Ben Lind, finished 2nd in Providence, 3rd in Hartford, 3rd at Mohegan, 16th in Pennsylvania (the Mid-Atlantic Open Bid), and 6th in Boston, all at the top level of play in juniors boys volleyball.
The team was built from high school volleyball talent in the state of Rhode Island consisting of:
